- Choose two ingredients. Pick two cookable inventory items and review the displayed SC fee.
- Cook or discover. Every successful dish arrives at the next hour, so you can leave the page while it cooks. Only a Culinary Disaster resolves immediately.
- Claim the result. Receive the dish, record a successful recipe in the Almanac, and collect Cooking XP.
- Build progress. Cooking and optional tips improve Chef Roux's friendship, while XP unlocks progression rewards.
Ingredients are consumed. Experiment carefully with rare ingredients. Successful dishes and Culinary Disasters both use the selected copies.

- Why did one recipe finish immediately while another took longer?
- Every successful dish is served at the next hour, whether the recipe was already known or brand new. A Culinary Disaster is the only result that resolves on the spot, and you can leave the Kitchen while a dish cooks.
- Are failed attempts wasted?
- A failed pairing can produce a Culinary Disaster. The ingredients are still consumed, but the attempt teaches you something and awards Cooking XP.
