World Conditions And The Veloris Outlook
The weather and phenomena crossing the islands, and where to read the day's picture.

Where to read it
Nova Reach keeps a public observation gallery at the Veloris Outlook. It compiles the day's noteworthy condition across the world and projects one location at a time; arrows step through the rest, and each entry links straight to the place. A shorter version of the same report sits on the world map.
What a condition is
A condition has an effect — clear, clouds, haze, mist, rain, wind, storm, snow, crystal, aurora, or leaves — at a soft, moderate, or strong intensity, plus a title and a summary written for the day. The location scene draws that effect over its own artwork, and the scene header, badge, tooltip, and ambient audio all report the same thing.
Exposure decides how much lands
Two places can share one condition and not look alike, because how much of it reaches a spot is authored per spot:
- Open — takes the weather as published, including a strong storm.
- Sheltered — under cover. Rain still resolves to the cloud it fell from rather than falling through a roof.
- Occluded — interiors and spots that have not been audited. No decorative weather is drawn at all, which is the safe default.
- Portal — a deliberate outward view. It keeps the full condition of the place it is looking at, because looking out is the point.
Published for everyone. A day's condition is a published snapshot rather than a per-player roll, so the same place reads the same for everyone and does not reroll because you reloaded.
FAQ
- Is the weather the same everywhere?
- No. Each spot is authored with its own exposure, so two places on the same day can read differently. An open shore takes the full weather, a sheltered terrace keeps the cloud and loses the rain, and an interior gets no decorative weather at all.
- Does the Outlook change anything?
- It is an observation gallery, not a control. It reports the day's condition and projects each place; the place itself is where you experience it.
- Where do I see the condition for where I am?
- The location scene carries it: the scene header names the current condition, and the artwork, badge, and ambient audio all follow it.
