Homes And Neighborhoods

Buying a plot, furnishing the rooms, and letting neighbors in to see what you built.

Updated September 27, 2026

Find a plot

Neighborhoods are places on the world map, and each one has plots. Homes lists the houses you own and links you to the neighborhoods when you do not have one yet. A plot costs 50,000 SC and arrives with a furnished home already on it.

One plot per player, for now. Each account can hold one active plot so more neighbors can move in, and releasing a plot is not available. The page says so before you buy, so the limit is never a surprise after the fact.

Furnishing a room

  1. Open the editor. Decorate opens the room in the house editor, with My furniture and Shop furniture as the two sources.
  2. Owned copies come first. A copy you already own is placed from your own stock. A copy placed in another home is never silently moved out from under it.
  3. Browse the catalog for the rest. Missing pieces show as purchase previews with an estimated SC cost. They are previews only — nothing is bought while you arrange.
  4. Autosave the draft. Your arrangement is kept as a private draft, including changes made to furniture you already own.
  5. Review and commit. Review asks for an authoritative quote. Buy and save layout buys only the missing copies and commits the room together; a zero-cost arrangement just says Save changes.

Furniture comes out of ordinary item copies, so a placed piece is reserved while it sits in the room. Taking it out returns it to Housing storage first; moving it from there back into Inventory is what makes it available to trade, sell, or use elsewhere.

Rooms and the clubhouse

A home begins with one ground-floor room and can add fixed empty bays, so the editor arranges the architecture the home actually has rather than inventing more. The neighborhood also has a clubhouse, which is where groups gather for the party games.

Letting neighbors in

Visiting is the owner's choice, one home at a time. When it is on, neighbors reach the house from its plot and walk the version you saved; when it is off, the home is private. Either way, a visitor never sees an unfinished draft.

FAQ

How do I get a home?
Open Homes from the items menu and follow the link to the neighborhoods on the map. A plot costs 50,000 SC and comes with a furnished home. For now each player can hold one active plot, so the notice you get when you already own one is expected.
Does autosave spend anything?
No. Autosave stores a private draft of the room. It never buys a furnishing and never changes the arrangement everyone else sees, and Discard returns you to the committed room.
Where does furniture go when it comes out of a room?
Housing storage. Removing a placed copy returns it there first, so a full Inventory can never trap furniture inside a scene. Withdrawing from storage into Inventory is a separate step.
Can other players see my house?
Only if you share it. A home is private until the owner turns visiting on for it, and what visitors see is the saved version, not the draft you are still working on.
