Cloudloft And Crosswind Landing
The visiting islands that rotate through Cloudloft on a shared three-hour clock.
Updated September 27, 2026
What Crosswind Landing is
Cloudloft's landing stage for visiting islands. Each visitor is a place in its own right, with its own arrival edge and its own map, and the ones in residence change rather than sitting there permanently.
The rotation
One island is in residence at a time, for three hours, on a shared clock. The landing shows which island is in, how long it has left, and when the others are due — and the timing survives a page reload, because the visit follows the server's clock rather than your browser's.
The islands themselves are authored in the world rather than in code, so a new visitor can be added without the rotation being rewritten.
Shops on a visiting island
A visiting island's store sections restock while the island is in residence. When the island is away, restocking skips its shelves instead of filling a shop nobody can reach, so nothing is quietly sold out from under an absent island.
FAQ
- Why can I not visit an island right now?
- Only the island currently in residence at Crosswind Landing is reachable. The others show when they arrive next, so you can plan around the rotation instead of guessing.
- Is Moonmoss Haven one of the visiting islands?
- No. Moonmoss Haven sits outside the rotation and stays where it is, which is why adopting a pet never depends on the clock.
- How long does a visit last?
- Three hours. The rotation runs on a shared clock, so everyone sees the same island in residence at the same time.
