Cinnamon

Serpens originate from scorching hot deserts so they have a thick skin that increases their defense. Whenever they happen across water, they drink twice their body weight and store it in their bodies for later. When they don't get enough water, they begin to shed their shiny, scale-like skin and regenerate a new skin.
