Tommi’s Paths of Remembrance
Something small has appeared beside Aegis Lighthouse: a painted flower on a broken tile. Someone cared enough to mend it. I would like to know its story.
From October 27 through November 2, join me for Paths of Remembrance, a collection of seven discoveries from an old community workshop. Each fictional find opens a story about the living traditions that inspired our Día de los Muertos exhibit.
Visit my survey table at Aegis Lighthouse and join the survey. Interpret a short clue, choose an eligible pet or my field team, then start your search. Interpretation retries are free. Both teams take two minutes, and neither costs SC. Return to recover your discovery before starting another survey.
You can start one free survey per Eastern calendar date. Every recovered discovery adds its lesson to your collection and gives you a bound display replica of the object.
Plan your survey days
- October 27: start on opening day and survey every day through November 2 to collect all seven discoveries and replicas.
- October 29: the latest a new participant can start and still earn the crown. You will need a survey on each of the five remaining dates, through November 2.
- November 2: the last day to start a survey. Later joiners are welcome to collect the discoveries and lessons still available to them.
- November 4: recover your fifth different discovery by the end of this day for crown credit. These extra days are for recovering searches you have already started. All dates use Eastern time.
Five qualifying discoveries earn one bound Cempasúchil Crown for your human avatar. Visit me to collect it once you have earned it; your earned pickup will wait for you after the event closes. Discoveries six and seven continue your collection without another crown.
Reading and reflections are optional and do not count toward the crown. Our survey covers a fictional former workshop, with permission to recover its scattered objects. We are not disturbing graves or active offerings. The exhibit keeps its fictional discoveries separate from its sourced heritage notes.
The exhibit overview opens October 27. All seven public lessons open on November 3 and remain available after fieldwork ends, whether or not you joined the surveys.
There are seven stories to uncover. I would be glad to explore them with you.
