This Week in Sensipets: Stocks, Fishing, and The Sunpatch

by Howey · 2026-07-19

Three everyday corners of Sensipets received substantial updates this week. The Stock Market has a clearer daily rhythm, Fishing has been relaunched with more meaningful choices, and The Sunpatch now makes every stage of a plant’s life easier to understand.

Stock Market: one clear daily close

The Stock Market now works around a shared closing bell at 6 PM Eastern. Each company’s daily change is measured from its previous close, with prices responding to a weighted mix of related activity around Sensipets—including fishing, gardening, cooking, familiar research, community activity, sales, trades, and auctions. The signals are balanced so one repeated activity cannot dominate an entire company’s movement.

  • You still trade instantly against the Bank. The page now makes the headline market price, buy quote, sell quote, and the spread between them much clearer.

  • Your position summary uses the current sell quote, so “P/L if sold” reflects what you could actually receive. Trade confirmations also show costs or proceeds, fees, and break-even or realized profit and loss.

  • Company marks, daily comparisons, expanded charts, and Marc’s closing-bell recaps make it easier to follow the market from one page.

Fishing: choose where to cast

Fishing is back with a banked-cast system. Ten casts arrive each day and carry over up to a maximum of 30, giving you room to miss a day without losing the whole opportunity. After choosing a rod, spot, lure, and bait, you can cast Near, Middle, or Deep. That choice changes what may bite, and matching a catch’s preferred depth can improve the specimen you reel in.

  • The new fishing scene includes lure-specific bobbers, a sinking bite cue, and a reel-in reveal. Select the bobber when the catch is ready—reeling cannot fail, although the result still needs to be claimed before its timer expires.

  • Fish can now roll a weight and a quality from Plain through Trophy. Better specimens award more catch XP and can improve Chef Miso’s processing output and XP.

  • Old Finn still handles rods, lures, bait, and fishing spots. SensiFans :sensifan_crown: get a new Tideglass Rod and a depth guide to preview the exact catch odds for their current setup.

The Sunpatch: a complete growing lifecycle

The Sunpatch now follows a consistent Sprout → Growing → Mature rhythm. Every stage shows if it can be watered and next check, and the Water button stops at the maximum so accidental overwatering is no longer possible. Different water totals can lead a plant down different routes, including unusual variants.

  • Fertilizer is selected when planting and remains active for that plant’s full lifecycle. Basic Fertilizer shortens growth by 10% and is available in the Sunpatch Shop for 10 Bloom Tokens. Special Fertilizer shortens growth by 25% and is included in monthly SensiFan :sensifan_crown: rewards.

  • Every completed plant awards :bloom_token: Bloom Tokens. Harvesting also gives you the crop, while any harvestable plant item can later be composted for 5 additional Bloom Tokens.

  • Mature plants have a species-dependent harvest window of one to three days. A plant that rots still awards its :bloom_token: Bloom Tokens, but its crop is lost.

  • The first three plots remain free. The other three can be unlocked with :bloom_token: Bloom Tokens, and all six active plots are now available without a subscription.

These updates are live now. We hope the new systems feel clearer, more flexible, and more rewarding to return to each day. Thanks for playing and for continuing to share your feedback.
