Last Candle at the Phantom Pop-Up

Scooter Fenn here, back in Iskerval’s Inner City with my notebook and one last question for the Proprietor. I never got to ask it.

The Phantom Pop-Up’s door was open. The rack was down to bare hangers, and on the counter sat a familiar jack-o’-lantern, a purple cloak folded into a neat square, a tape measure and one candle. No Proprietor. Just a card propped against the pumpkin:

“Gone to find next year’s costume. The candle stays lit until midnight. Take whatever fits. — P.”

I checked under the counter. I checked behind the rack. I even asked the pumpkin. It kept smiling and said nothing, which is the most Proprietor answer possible.

Before the last candle goes out

Halloween wraps up at midnight Eastern tonight, so here’s your checklist:

• The Phantom Pop-Up: whatever’s left on the rack is yours to try on until the candle goes out. Take the crystal cave behind the Iskerval harbor and look for the banner.

• Goodie bags: you can still collect one every eight hours today. Visit any NPC’s profile for a surprise.

• Theo’s Halloween Brew: if your brew is still bubbling at The Bubbling Pot, tonight is the night to finish it.

The season isn’t over yet

As for the Proprietor? The cottage will be empty by morning. If you spot a jack-o’-lantern somewhere one shouldn’t be next October, say hello for me.
