Born of shore and puddle, this small translucent wanderer keeps the crab's shelled hunch but none of its claws, drifting instead on soft insectoid legs that barely dimple the wet sand. Its jelly-clear body sloshes gently with trapped seawater, remembering pincers it will never grow.
