Sunspeckle Piira

Hatched from the last warm fossil-glow of an ancient egg, this sunny little bird kept its ancestor's stony patience but traded scales for radiant feathers. Golden spots freckle its wings like sunlight through leaves, and it hums faintly with a light too gentle to ever frighten anyone.
