Emberfruit Skitterling

Once a sour little fire-cherry left too long in the sun, this small insectoid warmed clean through until embers glowed beneath its skin. It scuttles quietly, mundane and mild, though something in its stitched, spindly legs still remembers a scarier ancestor.
