Cairndash Ridgetail

Born of stony ground and stolen sky, this little lizard kept its dino-cousin's stout legs and sunny hide but forgot how to fly, growing bold earthen stripes instead of wings. It bounds along canyon trails, tail-sail catching the dust like a memory of feathers.
