• Cores slide along AUSTIN's rails. Two cores of the same value that meet fuse into the next value up.
• Every move slides the whole board, so think about what a slide does to the cores you are not looking at.
• The run ends when the rails are full and no fusion is available. Getting to a stable 2048 Nova Core is the target.

• Keep your largest core parked in one corner and feed it from a single direction. The board falls apart when the big core wanders.
• A Mergeworks run scoring at least 248 is one of the branches in the Nova volunteer authorization, so this is worth learning early if you are working toward S.A.S.S. Nova.
