How a theme runs
Contests live at the Reverie Steps. One shared theme runs through three rounds in order — a story round, then an art round inspired by it, then a music round with a guest band. Each round starts a week after the one before it, so the theme rolls from one into the next and two rounds are usually running at once.
You can read every finished round, and every round that has already been revealed, on the creative showcases page without signing in.
Entries are private until voting
While a round is taking entries, only you can see yours. Nothing is shown to anyone else and the entry count is the only public number. When entries close, every eligible entry and its author are revealed together for a week of voting.
You can keep editing your entry until entries close. If you would rather start over, delete it and submit again. In a music round you can revise the words that are sung without resubmitting the whole entry, and a fresh performance is rendered for you.
Voting and places
Rank up to five entries in order; they receive 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 points from first choice through fifth. You cannot vote for your own work, and every ballot carries the same weight. Ties compare first-choice counts, then second through fifth, then a fixed draw.
Only entries with points place, and only one entry per player can place. An entry nobody voted for does not place, even when it is the only submission in the round — so a round can finish with no winners at all, and its page says so.
Guest creators from the cast take part and are shown beside everyone else, but they never take a place or a prize — so a guest near the top of the tally never pushes a player out of one.
Taking part is recognised on its own. Every eligible entry earns the round's participation award — SensiCoin, an item, or a keepsake sticker, depending on the round — whether or not it places. A round where nobody voted still rewards the people who entered.
Keeping your work
Entries stay in the gallery after a round ends. Achievement progress from entering, voting, and placing is separate from the round's own prizes.
