My sister just joined today, and I was wondering how we would avoid suspicion of being the same person? I'm not sure how else to put it, but I don't want the staff to think we are breaking the rules for using the same IP address.

Doesn't matter, I don't believe. Tagging people by IP has long been debunked as a terrible method of tracking unique users as far back as Neopets' start in 1999. Not only are IPs irrelevant, as if they're connected to the same router, multiple computers can be identified as one IP, but there are plenty of free extensions, apps and programs that falsely attribute IPs to computers that aren't the 'natural' IP.
If Sensipets is relying on IP tracking as a form of monitoring the use of multiple accounts, it's severely outdated and is likely to be fixed.

Okay, thank you. I wasn't sure how Sensipets keeps track of all that stuff, heck, I don't know how other similar sites do it either.
If you're still concerned about this though, I'd suggest contacting @Howey or @Heffrad about this. While this is about sharing a account, I feel that this info in the rules is revelant:
Users can share accounts ONLY if they are sharing the account with someone who is under 13 years of age or if the secondary user requires adult supervision. If this applies to your account, please email us at support@sensipets.com, and inform us of the situation.
Though with this being said, I don't believe this is 100% revelant to your situation. Like what @Rattlecat said, using IPs as evidence for numerous accounts is flawed. As long as you and your sister aren't each other's accounts to cheat or to hoard SC/rare items there really shouldn't be a problem. :)
But I ain't got a hammer / And I ain't got a pencil / And I ain't got a lasso / So I'm doing it the hard way / Like a post post-modern man

Okay, thank you so much. 😄

I've never seen any kind of rule written like this, so it gave me a bit of a laugh at first XD. It's so odd.
This isn't something that can be monitored in any way, which is why I think it's so odd. I think it's supposed to mean "Don't share your password to your account with other people.", but if that was the case, you'd think it'd just be written that way. This seems to imply something different which isn't really clear o.O
I'mma be honest, I dunno what you said means either Eek, XD. At least for right now, I think all anyone can do is hoard SC and rare items on their accounts.
