I would really like to choose a different 4th pet. For the life of me, it will not let me put one of my pets up for adoption. How do I "get to know" my pet more so I can accomplish this?
I would really like to choose a different 4th pet. For the life of me, it will not let me put one of my pets up for adoption. How do I "get to know" my pet more so I can accomplish this?
To abandon a pet, you want to go to Pets > Adopt. There will be an option to Abandon your pet.
An alternative however, is to change your pet's species (especially if you want to keep the same pet name). You can do that by growing the appropriate seed in the Mystic Grove under Games!

I believe this is to avoid the shelter being spammed with newly created pets. Perhaps feed the pet and play with them once or twice then try giving it to the shelter.
