Has anyone managed to change their pet yet?

  I've been experimenting with items I purchase from the shops. Anything that looks strange I give to Rat!

  Nothing's happened yet, but I also haven't encountered any items that seem necessarily "magical".

  (I have noticed that foods listed for over 1k tend to be gourmet though!)

  I'm not sure if actual magical items exist yet, or just are planned for the future. My hope is we get our first wave of magic by Halloween! I want Halloween themes and items for my pets. 😁

  A couple of users have started progressing towards changing their pets color (checking out the database). Maybe @Booplesnoot can give you a hint 😜

  Maybe we have to feed our pets multiple foods, not look for special items...

  
  

  I've started feeding Rat only brown foods. I don't exactly know which foods are considered "brown" yet so I'm only using ones that are clearly brown. I'm currently at 16, so there's no change at 10! I also don't know if they have to be in a chain or not, so I've ONLY fed them brown foods. (I'm also giving Shard milk to see what happens, but there's not always milk in the shop so I've been giving them other foods too)

  I'd love if items had a visual color value in their description!

  • There's a few items I avoid entirely since I'm not sure what they count as, such items with more than one color in their image.
  • Many of my family members are colorblind! While many items include some indication of color in their name, some aren't entirely clear. For example, the Fig Trachopsicle is brown on my screen, but the flesh of a fig is reddish!

  This is very, very good feedback. I'll be looking into ways of exposing this data soon. Need to think of a fun way, don't want it just to appear in the item popup...maybe an NPC can help. If you have an idea lmk, otherwise let me think on this a bit.

  All that dairy paid off!

  The count's currently at 16, but I vaguely remember accidentally feeding them soup after the first carton of milk.

  So my GUESS is that at a streak of 15 items of the same color they change!

  Unfortunately Rat never changed, it's possible bacon is a red item (it appears brown on my screen lol). I'll keep it up though to see what happens!
