As the site grows, it's important to consider how a player might play on a day-to-day basis. I want to open discussion on how people feel about dailies/what they like/don't like!

    Here's my personal list:

    • Dailies shouldn't take too long. It's why on Neopets I'll spin Trudy's but won't go & play a bunch of games. While I'd get more currency if I did, it would take a long time and would feel like a chore! Interestingly, both Sensi's memory game & FlightRising's Glimmer & Gloom have something in common where they're considered a daily by many, but I personally don't do it daily since I can't focus that long. 😂
    • Dailies should be easy to access! Currently all daily things on Sensi are nice & easy to navigate. Neopets is a nightmare and I have to use a grocery list of links.
    • Dailies should never punish a player. Many sites, games, & apps will try to hold their players' attention daily by adding a daily login bonus that racks up as the days go by, but punish them for missing a day by breaking the streak. While this is a great addition for the player who already plays daily, it can be a source of frustration for those who can't play daily. A player who forgets one day might lose motivation to continue playing if they break their streak. A compromise could possibly be to have it add to a counter regardless of days missed (the more days you play the faster it fills, but the final prize IS guarenteed eventually).
    • Dailies should never end in net negative for a player. VERY VERY few games do this but I have seen it before. While not the case here at all, I've played a game where doing all the dailies can get you nothing or TAKE currency from you, leaving you with less than the day before! In this site's case, basically you should be able to afford your pet's needs that day with what you got from dailies that day (considering you were there the days before), which is 100% possible right now!
    • Dailies should never run on a 24 hour counter. That's oddly specific, but weirdly common. If you have to wait 24 hours exactly for something to reset, then that time being pushed later & later is inevitable. Soon enough your time's at 3am and it's either lose out to reset it to something managable or lose sleep. Resets on rollover are much easier to figure out!

You bring up some really great points about Dailies! They are something we have been talking more about as they are a way for our users to come back to the site for mulitple days. As far as ease of access, we are wanting our Dailies to definitely be easy to access but also enticing enough for a player to want to come back each day to claim their prize (i.e. 7 day streak) I also agree that the Neopets site can be very confusing to navigate (especially while they change over from flash) and can almost turn off players (especially new users) from access the full potential of Dailies. What are some of your favorite Dailies from other sites that could give us ideas to implement onto the site?

Also, if we were to do a daily with a timed counter, it would probably reset at a specific local time (obviously not 3am lol)

Although, now that I think about it, our Soup Kitchen resets at midnight local time but you can claim this reward at anytime during the day (just as long as it's before it resets at midnight the next day)

If I'm reading this right, you're against daily log in bonus? I'm actually all for them. The whole point is to reward players for playing every single day.

In my "Suggestion" thread I put down for a daily log in bonus with potential weekly and monthly bonus.

If they use items that you can obtain regularly then it's not like the people who don't log in daily truly miss out on anything "exclusive"
But those who do dedicate the time daily to the game just get rewarded for doing so

Something I'm hoping to see implemented someday is some kind of stock economy where we can buy stocks in the different businesses in the game. I imagine that will take a lot of math and stuff for the balancing so I'm not expecting something like that any time soon, but would be cool eventually. I like a variety of dailies... easy one click ones, quests, games, etc. There's going to be so many different playing styles it'll be good to have a variety to attract many different kinds of players. I'm a gamer myself so I'd enjoy some more games.

Oh maybe a lottery would be cool eventually, too!
