I wanted to see how many squirts of water to grow this bubble seed but its constantly hungry and has taken over 250 squirts of water but still hasn't grown
Does it take more than this? I'm pretty sure last time it didnt' take this long to grow this

Update: Okay so its grown a 2nd bubble (evolved to next stage) finally after leaving it alone for the night, gave it a few more squirts of water, see if it becomes a beautiful berry
The moist berry and bubble berry take a TON of water. i don't know if watering them when they're not glowing yellow actually counts or not. I really don't understand the mechanic. Interesting that it took you close to 250 tho o.O I'm curious if the moist berry takes the same?

Update: Okay so its grown a 2nd bubble (evolved to next stage) finally after leaving it alone for the night, gave it a few more squirts of water, see if it becomes a beautiful berry
I did a video recording of me mass-watering seeds to see any graphical glitches. Whether they were glowing yellow or blue, I spammed them with water until they were completely grown. I started with 4 Moist Seeds and according to the video, they took 6 minutes of constant spamming to grow. This was prior to Bubble Berries existing, but given the rarity, the time has probably been scaled up considerably.

I did like 14 apples in time of my bubble berry for the 250 watering and it was constantly yellow every watering (maybe a few thats not but after every water it kept going yellow), I just gave up because I got tired
