What does it mean for us to be in Alpha?
When we decided to start back up Sensipets, we agreed it needed to have a purpose bigger than what virtual pet sites strived for in the past. They have come and gone as they were novelties, and while some have stood the test of time, how have they elevated the category?
We are in Alpha, because our vision of what Sensipets will be has not been reached yet. This does mean that everyone should expect significant changes from time to time. We will try and make sure that if anything impacts your account, pets, items, etc. that we tell you ahead of time and compensate you in some way. However, this is not a promise that an account reset will not happen. When the time comes to leave alpha, we will have an open conversation with the community on how we can ensure that new players do not feel left behind, and that the community that helped fulfill the vision are rewarded.
The pets, items, games, stores, locations - these all existed in the original form of Sensipets. Expect them to change, we want to elevate them.
- We want pets that feel part of the world and like achievements.
- We want items to be unique and add value to your gameplay.
- We want games to be fun and engaging but not the key reason you stay around.
- We want stores to be full of lively NPCs that know and remember you.
- We want locations that allow you to discover and explore their mysteries.
This is what our vision of Sensipets is. We hope these ideas interest you and that you join us on our journey through Alpha. We do not have a hard-end date, but we do have a timeline and will share it as soon as we can.
