You wake up in a clearing.. [creature bonding RP]

  It was a normal day just like any other, except when you laid down to sleep that night you found that you awoke somewhere else entirely. The teal colored grass below your body was soft and full of spongy moss, a little damp but not too cold. Looking around, you see that you are alone in a small forest clearing, the trees that surrounded you were odd.. a strange purple wood leading up to branches covered in broad white leaves, gently blowing in the breeze higher up. Looking up at the sky revealed a dim blue color, filled with puffy purple clouds.

  
  

  You must still be dreaming, then?

  
  

  The only clear path leading out of the forest, should you follow it, is dotted with faintly glowing mushrooms. Tiny little things, with white caps and stems but emitting a soft golden light. Really, it was quite pretty and there didn't seem to be any creatures in eyesight- though you could hear birds chirping in the distance as well as small critters rustling about in the trees. As you continued down the path, eventually it began to open up and you saw a much larger clearing up ahead.. with someone sitting on a large stump, surrounded by the same little glowing mushrooms.

  
  

  As you approached, they looked up from the small book in their hands and smiled breifly.

  
  

  "Ah. You've woken up.. please, choose a nest and tell your chosen one about yourself. I promise it will be worth your time." They said, their voice soft and airy. Guesturing with one hand behind them to the clearing, you now noticed a number of different 'nests' set up some distance from each other, each with a something different sitting in the center.

  RULES

  1. Respect Sensipets Forum guidelines.

  2. Each egg is first come, first served- however you may switch if you aren't vibing and there is another open one. I will update the list below to indicate which eggs are open/closed and who is interacting with them.

  3. If all the slots are filled but you still want to leave, feel free! I will be adding more eggs as needed/as when I get the muse to write them.

  4. Feel free to interact with the other players but that isn't exactly the point of the RP so don't feel bad if they don't respond.

  5. Please just post one interaction with your egg of choice until I can post a response! Unfortunately this may take time depending on the time of day/how busy I am but I will try to be as fast as possible.

  6. One liners are fine- I have no length expectations! I prefer non chatspeak type RP however as I would like to get a feel of your character so I can develop the creature that will hatch.

  7. If you'd like me to reserve an egg I will but if you don't make your first post in 3 days I will PM you, and then after no reply for 3 more days I will open the egg back up for others.

  HELPFUL TIPS/GUIDELINES

  These aren't rules, but will help you have a better idea how this will go.

  
  

  1. Your character can be anyone, or anything, as long as it's not a canon character ripped from a fandom. Aka. no you can't be Naruto or Harry Potter, but you can be a Ninja or Witch/Wizard of your own creation from the univers!

  2. You can also be some sort of creature, not just a humanoid! Please be able to speak and be sentient otherwise it doesn't really make sense.

  3. This forest/clearing is.. essentially a dream. So your character would return to their own planet/universe/etc. after the egg hatches and you 'bond' to the creature inside, except they also magically go with you! Don't question it too much.

  4. No need to interact with the caretaker/wait for my response before picking an egg. Just go for it.

  5. Please indicate clearly which egg you are speaking to- the descriptions/names will be in the second post. I will probably be responding to multiple people sometimes and will separate the post into sections depending on which egg I am responding as.

  
  

  ps. I am yoinking this set up/rules/first set of egg descriptions from another site I hosted this RP on, so if you recognize it that's why!

  The eggs will hatch into unique creatures, completely different from the same egg descriptions on the former site.

  💍 THE FANCY FRILLED EGG 💗

  About the size of a globe, this Egg was sitting on a plush pink and purple frilled pillow, with golden tassels on each corner. It seemed fairly heavy, sinking deep into the cushion, and would prove so if you tried to move it at all. The smooth surface of the shell was a light teal over most of the it, fading into green and then yellow near the top. Closer to the base of the egg looked like it had some sort of 'skirt' attached to it, the frilly ruffles in all shades of soft orange, pink and purple. Getting close to this egg gives you a sense of comfort, like you are surrounded by all your favorite blankets and pillows in bed, making you just a bit sleepy.

  
  

  🌟 THE STARS GLITTER AT NIGHT EGG 🌙

  This egg sat in a wide and shallow silver dish, the inside polished to a mirror finish. It was perfectly spherical, and large enough that you would need both hands to hold. The surface of the egg was a uniform deep blue, nearly black, spattered with little gold and silver 'stars' all over the surface- sometimes a cluster here or there gave the appearance of a galaxy on the surface. If you were to look long enough, you might see one of the little dots streak across the surface like a shooting star before disappearing. Coming close to the egg it seemed to get a little chilly, just enough to make you want to pull your coat a little tighter..

  
  

  🖤 THE I'M TOTALLY GOTH EGG ☠️

  This edgy egg sat on a literal pile of nails- though the ones that it was sitting on directly were driven into the ground, giving a smooth base for the egg to lay on without fear of poking through its thin shell. Though the shell was black all over, even with small thorn-shaped protrusions of the same color all over the outside, a soft pink glow could be seen moving within and reacting to whoever came close or spoke to it. If you were brave enough to touch the spikes covering the surface you would discover that they actually weren't sharp at all and were rather bendy, though you might upset whatever was inside. Getting close to the egg the air seemed to vibrate just a bit, as though someone was playing music with loud bass in the distance.

  
  

  🍃 THE NEW LEAF IN THE SUN EGG ☀️

  This egg, well it wasn't really an egg at all. It seemed more like a large bud of some sort, growing directly from the ground beneath it. Large leaves curled up around it, mostly a bright green in shade but fading to a deep teal around the base where it was connected to the short stem. More broad leaves with wavy edges were flared out around the base, laying on the ground, and little green vines were curled up in tight spirals between them. The bud seemed to wave back and forth gently, as though it was in a breeze despite there being none. When you get close to it, it seems to get a little bit warmer, as though you were laying out in the sun- but not too warm, just a comforting feeling.

  
  

  🥚 THE VERY LARGE BUT NORMAL LOOKING EGG 💤

  This egg was.. well, just an egg, really. It was white with mottled brown spots across the surface, a few darker than others. Normal egg shape, tapered on one end, and sitting in what looked like a normal birds nest made of sticks and grass woven together. However, it was the largest one in the entire clearing, easily three and a half feet tall at the tip. Looking close to the bumpy surface of the shell you might notice a few hairline cracks in different areas, though they didn't look like they were ready to grow any time soon. Getting close to the egg you don't notice anything particularly interesting, except every so often it seems to wiggle and little tapping noises come from within.

  Adrian stares at the caretaker with a question on his lips, then shakes his head, turning back to the eggs and pulling his collar up. Lived-in-dreams? Eggs-that-aren't-eggs? Sure, there are strange things skulking around his own world--heck, he saw his share in the Coast Guard, until one Skulking Thing too many earned him a failed evaluation and enforced leave. But this is beyond weird.

  
  

  He glances over the eggs, increasingly uncertain at their strange colors and pulsing, but relaxes at the sight of the large white egg. More importantly, it seems that whatever creature is housed inside wants out soon, so Adrian might as well make it happy.

  
  

  He steps nearer, kneeling a safe distance back from the egg in case shell fragments start bursting in every direction. He raises a hand, reaching towards it, but hesitates. He watched a nature documentary about raising emus once--aren't you not supposed to intervene, unless the chick is really struggling? If only he'd taken better notes, not that he ever imagined he would need it.

  NORMAL EGG

  As Adrian came close and kneeled nearby, the large egg wiggled a few more times and the tapping sound intensified for a moment before going quiet, and a soft sigh could be heard- though it didn't actually sound like it was coming from the direction of the egg, instead the source of the quiet voice seemed to be in his own mind.

  
  

  /Thought I could force my way out, but doesn't seem to be working. Don't worry, nothing bad happens if you get too close. I've been here long enough to know../ It said, the voice sounding a bit.. sad? Bored?

  
  

  /Most who come through here don't bother looking at me. I guess I'm pretty plain looking? Thats what one person said before they moved on to another./

  Adrian pauses and takes a moment to process this new element of weirdness. Talking psychic eggs, sure, why not.

  
  

  He scoots closer and instinctively clears his throat, before realizing there's not much point. He keeps his 'mental' voice gentle, trying to reach out to the egg.
