Has anyone here played it, and what was your thoughts on it? Personally I feel that it's the most experimental and challenging game so far in the franchise.

I haven't played any of the Warioware games. What are they like?

I'm still hoping for a Waluigi game one day, though I'm not getting my hopes up. Lol

Warioware is a mini game franchise. It's gameplay is of quirky rapid-fire minigames that are all tied by a specific theme with one of the characters hosting it. There's also a lot of fun collectables which gives it great replay value. Get it Together! changes the formula where you now play as the characters and help them finish their levels. While I have been enjoying the game, each character plays differently which makes it pretty difficult at times, so I don't think it's the best game for a newcomer. If you're interested in the series, I highly recommend checking out Warioware Gold for the 3DS. It features everything that makes the franchise great along with full voice acting + animated cutscenes, so you get a good feel for the characters as well. Though with that being said, Get it Together! does have a generous demo that's a good introduction to the majority of the mechanics that's in the full game. I apologize if I rambled a bit there. 😅

While I don't know if Waluigi will ever make a big appearence in the Warioware series (he's been mentioned a few times though), I like to think he will eventually have a impactful role in one of the core Mario games. Back when the Mario and Luigi series was out I really hoped they would make a sequel where the brothers would have to team up with Wario and Waluigi. It seemed like a really fun concept.

Haha I don't mind the rambling. Sounds like fun! I'm actually gonna just go ahead and buy Warioware Gold while I'm in town today. I appriciate the recommendation!

I have my fingers crossed for Waluigi to get his own series one day. Mario has a million games. Luigi and Wario both have their series. But Nintendo's just not that interested in Waluigi. We stan Waluigi in my house. Lol My wife is even modding Super Mario RPG right now to make Waluigi the main character. She's been working on it for 5 months.

Aw nice! Let me know what you think of it when you pick it up. I don't mind this thread becoming a place for general Warioware discussion. 😆

I totally get that! A lot of my Nintendo faves are on the underappreciated and obscure side too. I used to play Waluigi pretty frequently back during the Wii era of the Mario Kart series - I always thought him on a motorcycle was funny for some reason, lol. Your wife's project sounds really interesting, is she just recoloring sprites or is it something more complicated?

I sure will! Is it multiplayer, or just single? I'm heading out now, so I'll update tonight or tomorrow on how I liked it!

Waluigi on a motorcycle is hilarious! It's something about his long scrawny legs.. Lol And Nintendo has a lot of great characters with a lot of potential that they just don't use much. It's too bad!

Her mod does have recolors, but it's much bigger than that. She's edited the script to fit Waluigi and Daisy (who are replacing Mario and Peach/Toadstool). There's new easter eggs and secrets. It's more difficult, though not too much so. The story is still basically the same, but there's new character content throughout the entire game. She's also rebalanced the characters to make everyone more useful. And she let me make a new enemy. :) There's more little things listed on her website, but that's the major things.

It's a single player game, but there is a multiplayer mode that can be played if someone else has their own copy of the game. I've never been able to play it, so I can't really say anything on what it is like. :(

I really feel that way about a lot of the characters tied to Wario. It would be nice if Captain Syrup made a appearence in one of the Mario Sports or Kart games. I kind of can't help to feel that Nintendo is planning something with her since Gulliver in Animal Crossing: New Horizons makes a reference to her.

That's really cool! I've always had a small interest in modding, but I never felt I was technologically savvy enough to pull off something cool. (All I've done is incredibly small recolor mods for the Sims.) It really sounds like what she's working on is elborate, almost like she's turning Super Mario RPG into her own game. Let me know when she completes it, because I wouldn't mind checking it out! Feel free to send me the link to her site on Discord whenever.
