I love physical books as I collect and sell them for a living but audio books count as well!

I'll start: I just finished reading Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix and I cant wait for a second book. At least im hoping there is one! The idea that a store can be haunted and deadly because of where it was built is great. It's different than the typical haunted house. My favorite book is House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski. Its just very layered with many different stories wrapped into one and you can really dive into it more than once and discover more than you had the first time around.

The library is inhabited by spirits that come out of the pages at night.

Nice! I always thought collecting books looked like a nice hobby. While I know the intent is to read them, books make nice decorations and conversational pieces.

Off hand, I don't believe I have a favorite book. I've never been much of an avid reader. With that being said though, when I do read a book I usually really enjoy it. I feel like that's something I need to remind myself when I have reservations about starting one, lol. But with that being said, I do really enjoy comics and for the last few years I've read several collections of various series. Probably my favorite read for this year is probably Batman: Dark Victory, which is the sequel to The Long Halloween (which I read last year). While it repeats similar plot elements from the original, I still really enjoyed it. I really love Tim Sale's take on the Batman characters - every page is oozing with style.

I'm currently reading Garfield at 25: In Dogs Years I'd Be Dead. It's about the history of the franchise up until 2002. I've been really enjoying it as well, I have a lot of memories reading it as a kid. It's a nice time capsule of 2002 (with the book occasionally alluding to the Garfield movie, which wasn't out yet) and showcases a lot of the merchandise the character has recieved. I still want that silly Garfield globe for some reason, lol. Garfield's my favorite fictional character so anything featuring him is fun to me.

    But I ain't got a hammer / And I ain't got a pencil / And I ain't got a lasso / So I'm doing it the hard way / Like a post post-modern man

I've been reading a lot this summer actually. I used to read a lot, then stopped, and now have started back up. I've read Stephen King's The Shining recently... I haven't seen the movie, only the meme's, so I kind of had an idea of what was going to happen....

I'm currently reading The Appeal by John Grisham... it's a different kind of read for me, but i'm interested in the Law aspect of the read.

I want to start on a James Patterson series but I'm not ready to dive down that rabbit hole yet.

So, I started on the Alex Cross series by James Patterson, currently reading 'Along Came A Spider'

I don't really like it heh

It's taking me a while to get through it because I don't want to read it - but I want it done and over with heh

I'm currently reading "This is your Brain on Parasites." It's a great and informative book if your interested in parasites and how they interact/change their hosts way of thought and survival.

Next book will be "Entangled Life" it's about Fungus and how they shape the world!!

"Have an irresistible urge to go to the zoo, scale a fence, and French-kiss the Pissiest Looking Polar Bear"~~This is your brain on Parasites
